Are Electric Motorcycle Riders Nicer?

electric motorcycle riders

The debate about gas-powered motorcycles vs. electric motorcycles has been settled. However, the same cannot be said for the riders. While all motorcycle riders, regardless of what beast they ride, are all nice, there are reasons to believe that electric motorcycle riders are better.  Do you want to know why? We’ll give you some convincing reasons. But first, let’s dive into what makes riding motorcycles awesome.

Freedom of Motion

Riding a motorcycle gives you the freedom to be where you want to be as you enjoy the beauty and grandeur of nature. That wind-in-your-face feeling can leave you wanting for more. Tackling twisty roads and feeling the exhilaration of being one with nature is something that’s inexplicable. If you think about it, that’s freedom.

Sense of Belongingness

Do you know why some think that motorcycle riders can be a powerful group? It’s because each rider recognizes they are part of a community. Have you ever waved to a fellow rider while on the road even you can’t see their face under their helmet? It’s because the mere act of riding brings that sense of belongingness. Motorcycle riders are always ready to stop and help whenever they see a fellow rider in trouble.

What Makes Electric Motorcycle Riders Great?

There’s so much more to what makes motorcycle riders awesome. To answer the question, “are electric motorcycle riders nicer?” The answer is yes. Why may you ask? Here are some of the most convincing reasons:

They care about the environment.

One undeniable fact about electric motorcycle riders is their concern for the environment. Do you know that some neighborhoods ban gas-powered motorcycles because of their noise? In fact, one individual even started a Change.org campaign aiming to ban motorcycles with engines reaching higher decibels in major residential areas, including city centers in London. A Bloomberg report noted that the surge in the use of two-wheeled vehicles in some nations has caused many cities to challenge their long-term goals of addressing noise and air pollution. They noted that even if motorcycles produce lesser carbon emissions than cars, they still produce excessive traffic-related pollutants.

Electric motorcycle riders understand this. Shifting to an EV means they care about the environment as these motorcycles produce minimal noise.

They care about road safety.

Another concern about gas-powered motorcycles is their road safety. Many gas cruiser riders would try to show off their power on the road by aggressively cruising as they tackle twisty roads. After all, it gives them that riding thrill. However, when it comes to riding an electric motorbike, riders make sure to accelerate moderately to help them conserve power. In a way, they are cautious about their speed.

They care about their neighbors.

Aside from reducing the noise pollution, electric motorcycle riders are nicer as a neighbor. Since their motorbikes create minimal noise, they don’t cause trouble by waking up their neighbors when they go on a nighttime ride.

Motorcycle Community vs. EV Community

With all things said, riding a motorcycle creates oneness between the rider and the machine. But what sets electric motorcycle riders apart from traditional riders is that they bring this oneness with their bike while considering others and Mother Earth. And we believe that’s what makes them great persons.
